Overview:
Plan, install, and repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment per blueprints and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan installations to minimize waste and maximize safety
- Read blueprints/sketches to determine wiring/equipment placement
- Install conduit, pull wire, splice, and connect power
- Install switches, relays, breaker panels, grounding leads
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
- Repair or replace faulty systems or equipment
Overview:
Fabricate, install, and maintain piping systems for various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select, cut, bend, thread, and assemble metal or nonmetal pipes
- Plan installation sequence and avoid structural interference
- Install hangers, brackets, and secure piping
- Join pipes using soldering, brazing, fusing, etc.
- Test systems for leaks and ensure proper function
- Install and maintain refrigeration and HVAC piping systems
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and use respirators as needed
- Follow safety rules and supervisor instructions
- Use hand/power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain accountability for tools/materials
- Work well within a team and meet quality standards
- 1–4 years of relevant experience (depending on level)
- Pass drug/alcohol screening and physical evaluation
- Complete New Hire Orientation and written test (for Pipefitters)
- Meet site-specific appearance and PPE requirements (e.g., clean-shaven, long sleeves, steel toes, etc.)
- Must not pose a direct threat to self or others
- Comply with drug/alcohol policies
- Climb ladders/scaffolding; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl
- Lift/carry 50 lbs. (use assistance for heavier loads)
- Stand/walk for extended periods, often on uneven terrain
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Wear required PPE including respirators
- Industrial construction sites or fabrication shops
- Outdoor climate exposure (hot, cold, humidity, rain, etc.)
- Obstructed, uneven, and elevated work areas
- Potential exposure to loud noise and chemical substances
